225 Club Recipes: year 8 release no. 1 — hop infused summer gin
The Block’s Summer Gin is an OG. Infused with fresh peels from hundreds of pounds of fresh citrus fruits, delicately removed by hand peelers by the TBDC team and likely obligated family of the founders. That base gin is then infused with precise amounts of time, ratios of weight to volume, and temperature of extraction to achieve the balance of flavors.
Citra hops have a strong citrus and tropical fruit flavor profile which pairs beautifully with our, already citrusy, Summer Gin. We used a surprisingly small amount of hops to curb the bitterness, but still give the gin a strong grapefruit, mango, and pineapple aroma.

Cocktail no. 1
Use this recipe to make a Corpse Reviver
cocktail build:
.75oz Hop Infused Summer Gin
.75oz Citrus Liqueur
.75oz Marigold Syrup (or any simple you have on hand)
.75oz Lemon Juice
Barspoon of Absinthe
DIRECTIONS:
Have a chilled coupe ready before you make your cocktail. Add all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice and shake for about 10 seconds. Strain into the chilled coupe and express a lemon peel and garnish.

Use this recipe to make a cocktail that tastes almost exactly like a grapefruit with sugar - a little bitter, a little sweet.

1.5oz Hop Infused Summer Gin
.5oz Apéritif
.5oz Vanilla Simple Syrup
.25oz Lime Juice
DIRECTIONS:
Add all of your spirits to a yari or mixing glass/vessel. Add ice and stir to chill and dilute-10-15 seconds. Strain your cocktail into rocks glass and add ice. Garnish with a dehydrated lime, or express a lime peel for an extra burst of citrus.
