COFFEE LIQUEUR

We love coffee almost as much as we love spirits. If you’ve been in our tasting room, you’ll see our espresso machine sitting on the edge of our bar. So, we thought, why not combine the two?

Insert Coffee Liqueur.

Knowing how meticulous we are with our spirit making (have you read our Whiskey story?) we knew we needed to be extra selective about our roaster partners. Luckily, a few doors down is a family-owned, Denver-based company that was a perfect fit: Novo Coffee.

Started in 2002 by Jake, Joe, and Herb Brodsky, Novo Coffee connects coffee consumers with high-quality beans direct from the source. They traveled the globe to hand-select beans and establish wholesale partnerships with farmers and producers allowing them to improve farmers’ pricing, enhance coffee quality, and purchase from the same farms year after year.

To make our Coffee Liqueur, we start with our Vodka - the base for many of our sprits.  It starts with three high-quality grains - oat, wheat (red and white), and malted barley - that come from our farm in Missouri. It’s unfiltered, delicious, and flavorful. We then add Novo Coffee’s smooth cold brew for a clean, non-bitter coffee flavor. We sweeten it up a bit with an earthy dehydrated sugar. And, that’s it. A perfect ménage à trois: Vodka, coffee, and sugar. Unlike other coffee spirits, we don’t add cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, or any other flavor - we don’t need it. 

Released in October 2018, our Coffee Liqueur continues to be one of our most popular spirits.
