#aboutlastnight | ODE to 2020

I think it is safe to say that 2020 was…how do I put it…oh it is right there on the tip of my tongue…oh that’s it…a true and absolute DUMPSTER FIRE.

2021 well it is still up for debate but arguably getting better every day. So being that the light is finally spotted at the end of the shit show tunnel we thought we would create an ODE TO 2020. An ode is a poem praising or glorifying an event or person. I know, creating a visual ode to “praise 2020” makes it seem like we are screwed up in the head. But consider it an ode in celebration of its’ passing. That we made it. Not a celebration of it but a celebration that we are still here, still standing, still together, and still making progress.

So here it is, our ODE TO 2020. #aboutlastnight style. What 2020 relics do you spot?

ABOUT #ABOUTLASTNIGHT

We all have those nights where inhibitions were diminished, or completely lost, and we wake up maybe not quite remembering the whole story but definitely remembering enough to make our cheeks blush.

At The Block we don’t consider those #aboutlastnight stories embarrassing. We consider them badges of honor, like scars with amazing action tales. So we decided to document them. Are they fictitious or did they happen? We won't tell.

That’s #aboutlastnight

THE PROCESS

For this image, there were four shots stitched together using the composite method of photography. This is the fifth photo in the #aboutlastnight series using a composite method.

The photographer, Sash Levitov, stitched all four photos together to create this iconic photo, capturing our feelings about 2020.

Stay tuned for more #aboutlastnight photos.
